Gemodi/Unefsih ... 02/27/2014 Blackops Drop? We Think Not!

So this week has been rather slow . . . apart from some fun in supers shooting offline stuff and a quick moon grab here or there not much has happened recently.

Today we had a treat fall into our laps.  Word came down the grapevine that Republicov was baiting with a cyno fitted nightmare.  A quick intel check found a Provi BlackOps fleet on a Widow (In Misaba?).  We also heard that a CVA Arazu was hanging around Yong.  Now we knew it was a drop but jolly gosh sir would it be nice to have a dead Republicov nightmare so we formed up in battleships on the titan (with Archon and chimera triage) but by the time we were ready the nightmare was nowhere to be seen.  However the Arazu was still in the Yong area and active.  So in attempt for a 'fight' with did the most unholy thing we could think of and fleeted up with Axiomatic Dominion who would bait and cyno for us.

As Axiomatic got people in place we were honestly a bit skeptical this would work.  However the Arazu swallowed the bait, hook, line and sinker.  After playing around and yellowboxing here and there axiomatic headed for the sun as we had to get the drop far enough from a structure or gate so we could activate smartbombs . . . I think you know where this is going.

The Arazu landed at 0 was tackled and tackled back and light his cyno.  As they jumped in we counter jumped in and our two brave smartbombers let loose upon the horde of stealth bombers while the battleships attempted to point anything larger.  Our carriers pulled the axiomatic cyno geddon out of structure as we quickly locked down what recons and tech 3's we could.

13 dead stealth bombers, an Arazu, a pilgrim, and a Proteus and 7 pods.  Quite a few stealth bombers escaped because on cyno in our two smartbombers ended up right next to each other so bombers who had a chance to move off the cyno quick enough were able to escape.

However our journey wasn't over.  On a whim Jssix fitted a cyno onto his Abaddon for the return trip home . . . 'Just in Case."  As the carriers prepped to return home to Arton and our battleships began the journey back our lead person reported a small Kraftwerk fleet near the Kheram, Unefsih gate which included several faction ships.  So we redropped several more people from arton when they fell for our returning Abaddon bait.  Yours truly in the triage dropped as well and triaged to save our cyno Abaddon.

Did I just pull a Dyntheos?

Why Yes I believe I have, kind of.  Unlike a certain famous CVA FC, I jumped than sieged at the cyno (while trying to change crystals, siege button was next to the gun button prior to the above screenshot).  A 'Dyntheos' is technically when a dread pilot undocks and sieges at undock instead of jumping to his cyno.

Eshwil ... 02/20/2014

Another night, another capital drop,  Fishing Sniggerdly spotted Rezeda Regnum capitals slowly logging into their pos in Eshwil.  NULL formed on a titan in mostly HICs and subcapital support as we waited for their capitals to do something.  Eventually they began attacking another pos in Eshwil with 2 phoenix and several carriers under a cyno inhibitor.  Our cyno was setup so fleet could warp to the inhib.  Their dreads sieged we cynoed in.  Props to their carrier pilots who appeared to be on the ball and were cynoed out almost immediately to an emergency cyno.  Of course sieged dreads are not so lucky and with our Hics they were tackled in siege and destroyed.  Finally drop tally, 2 dead phoenix's and a dead osprey (assume he was multiboxing).

Hoshoun ... 02/16/2014 Doing God's Work

So I arrived home from work late Saturday night (early Sunday eve-time) with a Little Ceaser's pizza inhand to find Frizzle on our TS3 talking about alts being shot and receiving KOS (for telling someone he was joining a kos entity?  That's new).  He starts playing station games with his Rorqual as online art0n crew form into absolutions (and harbingers) to hopefully gank some Care Factor conventional's that were messing with him.  After terrible bumping attempts (to the point that the rorqual starting moving on its own out of docking range to get something going) they finally got a good bump on him and engaged.

Just as we are about to light the cyno and jump in the rorqual reports a hostile cyno and two dreads.  We immediately scramble to reship, several people swaping to dreads, sixie pinging PL for any supers in range.  As I log my super in all my clients decide its a good time to crash.  Ahh the frustration!!  Finally get people online and on the titan but alas the extra dread damage had quickly swamped the rorqual bait (hull tanked!) taking him down, but the dreads are still in siege so we rush a falcon cyno in and find two carriers and three dreads still on the field.  Its go time, cyno is lite, titanbridge and supers/dreads go in.  One Niddy manages to warp off but the triple point onyx quickly locks down the non-sieged capitals and a few conventionals and we start to work on the dreads right away.  In the meantime I'm yelling in frustration as my lol Aeon pilot wasn't capped up when he logged out.  Just as he hits 71% our falcon cyno dies.  No Killmails for Ryuu :(

The final tally:
Care Factor Revelation, Moros, Phoenix, Cyno Kestrel
CVA Chimera, Tempest, and Caracal
RIM Crow

Fun Fact, while all this was going on a side fight on the field was also going on, all in good fun as two brothers playfully battled it out, sadly the amarrian sentry guns did not approve . . .

Fun Fact 2: PDDC (Frizzl3's corporation) was reset to not KOS latter that day.

Tastela ... 02/15/2014 TEST TITAN DOWN

So Saturday morning I roll out of bed (literally) and wiggle the mouse on my computer to cut the screen saver off.  Pull up TS3 and roll myself out of the AFK channel to see several PL on our TS3 and a flurry of discussion going on about returning to Arton.  I load up our Killboard and the first thing I see is.. .

I missed it by 45 minutes.

Mamet ... 02/12/2014 NULL/PL Vs Provi Bloc

The day after I properly had joined DERIV with one of my characters I joined TS3 to find MrBlue and Sixie discussing a timer for a CVA miner POS in Mamet.  As the timer approached Blue began forming some Proteus and Archons while Null formed up into guardians to provide support.  At the time we jumped into Mamet the NULL/PL fleet was at 36 (8 archons) with Provi Bloc outnumbering us almost 2:1 in their Domi/Phoon fleet.

With only a single proteus lost just under ten minutes in the PL/NULL fleet held firm for 30 minutes while slowly wittling away at the Proi-Bloc support.  After 30 minutes and several reinforcement titan bridges for Provi-Bloc the NULL PL fleet started to crack, first with the loss of their firewall Loki and than with three of the guardians.  As the Proteus started to drop PL prepared an escalation eventualling bringing in an additional 30 + archons to stabilize the field.  With the additionally support Provi-Bloc started to lose battleships slowly and eventually made the call to leave the field, allowing PL/NULL to bring several dreads in and kill the POS, replacing it with a NULL tower.

While Kill totals are a bit sketchy as always Eve-Kill shows 102 Kills (10 Bil to 6.9 Bil) while this Dog Report says 74 to 16.  Two videos so far have appeared covering the fight, one from a PL Carrier view and the other from a Provi-Bloc Guardian.  Altogether it was a very fun fight.  Thanks Provi Bloc o/

Welcome to the Arton Chornicles

With my retirement from Imperial Dreams and CVA of 7+ years my work with Providence News has ended.  Despite my infrequent updates I enjoyed doing the little news articles and F5ing viewer stats so with my move to NULL I decided to start a new blog chronicling the day to day activities of the Art0n Crew.

Founded by Hardin (like half of Eve) NULL was originally Exile Consortium's alliance.  Many of its members have been in and out of CVA and Provi Bloc Holder alliances and it has extremely close ties with the Bloc, despite being Not Blue Shoot It.  Because of its close proximity to Providence there is often confrontation in the low-sec areas that it operates in.  NULL is currently KOS.

These Posts are the Chronicles of Art0n Crew.
